| Who is Shirley Geer? Rev. Shirley Geer earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Auburn University in Alabama and a Master of Science in Social Psychology from Tufts University in Massachusetts. After more than twenty years of private spiritual studies, she received her ordination from the Universal Life Church of California in April, 2000. Rev. Geer sought ordination as a way to validate her studies and to consecrate her life in service to God and people. As a "New-Age" and "New Thought" minister, she believes that we create our reality via our thoughts, emotions, and intentions. As we think, so shall we and our experience be. She believes that in the universe there is only one power, which is God, which is Love. The Spirit of God is within all things. We are all ONE, experiencing an individualized aspect of the omnipresent God. Your world is a reflection of what and who you are. Each person or even event in your life is acting as a "mirror," so you can see yourself and how you are responding to that person or event. If you don't like what you see, then you're not being true to who you desire to be. You can change your mind, and choose a new response. Who will you choose to be in your next "NOW" moment? Life is eternal, and what we call "death" is a gentle transformation from this to another realm. Thus, we have reason to celebrate the life that was lived on earth, and we can have a deep knowing that he or she, now in spirit, will continue to learn and grow in the next realm. |
